President Donald Trump and Elon Musk have finally called it quits.

The pair’s highly publicized and inevitable “breakup” began on Tuesday, after the Tesla entrepreneur, who left his White House post last week, refused to mince words about 47’s “big beautiful bill,” dubbing the measure a “disgusting abomination” in a now-viral post. “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong,” he wrote in one of several social media posts denouncing the legislature. 

Naturally, Trump wasn’t thrilled with these takes, firing back by threatening the businessman’s various government contracts. “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts,” Trump bleated on his social media platform, Truth Social.
